A dedicated team combining decades of experience in the art market, lending, and client service, supporting collectors, estates, and their advisers worldwide.

Chris joined The Fine Art Group from Sotheby's Financial Services, EMEA, where he was Lending Director in London. He brings over twenty years in banking, focused on specialised debt solutions for high-net-worth clients collateralised by luxury assets including aircraft, yachts, and classic cars, with particular expertise in cross-border lending and complex client wealth structures. Over his career, Chris has been involved in over $1bn of lending across a multitude of luxury assets.

Katie is Director of Art Finance, supporting lending operations and portfolio management. She joined the firm in 2018, having previously gained experience at institutions including the National Museum of Wales, the University of Birmingham Research and Cultural Collections, and The Barber Institute.

Philip Hoffman has over three decades of experience in art-secured finance. He began his career at Christie's, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and later Deputy CEO of Europe. In 1991, he headed up Christie's art financing team, running a £100m loan book that included vendor advances. In 2014, Philip organised a major $50m loan for a private client. Ten years ago, he launched Fine Art Financial Services (FAFS) as a specialist art-secured lending platform within The Fine Art Group, the firm he founded and leads as CEO. Under his leadership, FAFS has built a cumulative loan book of over $300m. In February 2026, Philip led the syndication of a $450m art finance loan.

Laura is Associate Director for the Art Finance division, overseeing its strategy and operations. She holds a BA in History and Russian from University College London and a Master's in the History of Design from the Royal College of Art and the V&A Museum. She began her career at Christie's in the Decorative Arts and Private Collections departments, supporting appraisals and multi-category sales before joining The Fine Art Group.

As part of the Art Finance team, Milena supports financial and loan operations, having previously held roles at Gagosian, Arianne Piper Art Advisory, and Frieze London. She specialised in 20th-century Eastern European art during her studies and is fluent in Polish and Slovak.



Andrew oversees all operations, movements, and safeguarding of collateralised artworks held by Fine Art Financial Services. An expert in international fine art shipping, logistics, customs, storage, and handling, he personally oversees the intake and release of high-value collateral works across the entire portfolio, maintaining rigorous chain-of-custody and compliance standards as loans are funded and unwound. His broader registrar background spans blue-chip commercial galleries, museums, and private collectors, giving him deep grounding in the legal, insurance, and customs frameworks that govern art used as security, making him a trusted point of contact for banks, collectors, and advisers moving sensitive, high-value works through the full collateral lifecycle.
